The UA Memorial MAP Project is a humanist initiative to document and reconnect with the unique memorials on the University of Arizona campus. We have embedded a virtual map of cultural and historical memorials on and around our University of Arizona campus. This map provides locations, pictures, and descriptions of many of the monuments and memorials one may experience or see on campus. The map also has a function where a path can be drawn between memorials of similar character, whether it be a war memorial or a memorial representing an aspect of University of Arizona history. UA Memorial Map will make it easier for future generations of students to interact with these beautiful sites and navigate the rich meaning behind them.

Applied Humanities (Fashion Studies) | Psychology
I am an Honors College student double majoring in Applied Humanities and Psychology, and double minoring in History and Fashion. I plan to enter the business side of the fashion market, with a greater understanding of consumer habits and how the humanities influence the industry.

Marketing
I chose to study Marketing because I have always had an interest in brand management and social media marketing. I am originally from Seattle, WA, but coming to the UofA has been the best decision I have made so far in my professional journey. My favorite monument is Old Main.

Public Management & Policy
I am majoring in Public Management & Policy and minoring in Public Health with hopes of helping reform the healthcare system from a policy perspective. I grew up in South Jersey, but have come to love Tucson as my new home! My favorite memorial on campus is the Old Main Fountain because it is so beautiful and makes me feel at home.

Applied Humanities (Public Health) | Physiology
I chose to double-major because I believe understanding “the human condition” as a humanist will help me be a compassionate medical practitioner in the future. My favorite memorial on campus is the “Bear Down” painted on top of the Bear Down Gym. I think it’s a hidden gem with a backstory that truly captures our school’s spirit.
