Kaiser Permanente (Retired)

Janet Stein is a retired optometrist who served as the Chief of Optometry for Kaiser Permanente for Northern Virginia, where she oversaw a team of 27 doctors across seven clinics in the region. In this role, she managed all aspects of clinical care operations, including staffing, budgeting, instrumentation, and customer service. Janet earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Virginia and a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Her volunteer work includes providing eye exams at the Seattle King County Health Clinic and with Remote Area Medicine. Previously, she and her husband, Alan, co-chaired the University of Arizona Parent and Family Association. Now residing in Tucson, she enjoys hiking, cycling, pickleball, and attending University of Arizona sports events
