After majoring in both Psychology and Applied Humanities, I pursued a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, and I am currently a second-year in the Psy.D. program at the University of Indianapolis. My degree in Applied Humanities helped me to broaden my world view, become more culturally competent, and prepared me to work in interdisciplinary settings. I am completing a practicum rotation at Purdue University Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) as a therapist, where I can apply my knowledge to multicultural counseling with a wide range of students from diverse backgrounds. My Applied Humanities degree also taught me how to become a lifelong learner, and prepared me to continue my education in order to reach my goal of becoming a clinical psychologist! As always, Bear Down & Go Cats!
