Why did you choose this internship?

I chose this internship with Mosaic because of its outstanding reputation in the marketing and sales industry and its innovative approach to integrated marketing strategies. The opportunity to work on the Google Pixel program was particularly appealing, as it offered a chance to engage with a high-profile brand and gain hands-on experience in account management. Additionally, I was drawn to the potential for professional growth and the chance to learn from experienced professionals like my supervisor, Robert Ornelas. I believed that this internship would provide me with a comprehensive understanding of sales strategies and client relations, which are crucial for my career aspirations in business.

What kind of work did you do throughout your internship experience?

Throughout my internship at Mosaic, I was involved in a variety of tasks and projects that gave me a well-rounded experience in account management. My responsibilities included developing and implementing strategic sales plans, analyzing sales data, and identifying trends to enhance market penetration for the Google Pixel brand. I also worked on improving communication processes between senior leadership and Territory Sales Managers (TSMs), which involved conducting interviews, developing standardized communication protocols, and establishing feedback mechanisms.

What new knowledge and skills did you develop during your internship? 

During my internship, I developed several new skills and deepened my existing knowledge in key areas. I learned how to analyze sales data effectively and use it to inform strategic decisions. My project management skills improved as I coordinated various initiatives and ensured their successful execution. I also gained valuable experience in communication and client relations, learning how to address communication gaps and build strong, professional relationships. Additionally, I enhanced my technical skills by managing and updating tracking systems like the Best Buy Pixel Promo Landscape. These transferable skills will be invaluable in any future role within the business and sales sectors.

What was your favorite part of your internship?

My favorite and most satisfying part of the internship was the opportunity to work on the communication gap project. This project was meaningful because it allowed me to directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the communication processes within the team. By identifying bottlenecks and developing standardized protocols, I was able to help streamline information flow and improve overall team performance. This experience not only provided a sense of accomplishment but also reinforced the importance of clear and effective communication in achieving business success.

What is the impact of your internship experience?

The impact of my internship experience has been profound, both personally and professionally. It has given me a practical understanding of how businesses operate and has significantly boosted my confidence in my abilities to manage projects and solve complex problems. The hands-on experience and the mentorship I received have prepared me well for future challenges in my career. Moreover, the skills and knowledge I acquired during this internship are highly transferable and will be beneficial in various professional contexts.

How has your internship experience influenced your plans for your future?

This internship has solidified my interest in pursuing a career in sales and account management. The experience has shown me the importance of strategic planning, data analysis, and effective communication in driving business success.
